Following a rigorous selection board process this summer, the Air Force Culture and Language Center selected 295 Airmen in 40 languages from 762 applications for the Language Enabled Airman Program. For the 2023 cycle, the top 10 languages were Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Chinese-Mandarin, Tagalog, Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic-Modern Standard and Chinese-Cantonese.

Participation in LEAP is voluntary, and the application process is highly competitive. To become a LEAP scholar, Airmen must demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language specified on the Air Force Strategic Language List, receive endorsement from their unit commander and supervisor, and compete via a rigorous board selection process.

AFCLC is proud to announce those Airmen who met these requirements and are now members of this career-spanning program.
