Welcome to Æther: A Journal of Strategic Airpower & Spacepower (Æther), the flagship strategic journal of the Department of the Air Force. Rebranded in 2022, Æther replaces its predecessor Strategic Studies Quarterly (SSQ) as the main forum for critically examining, informing, and debating national and international security matters as they relate to airpower and spacepower.

Æther (ISSN 2771-6120)—indexed in Proquest, Gale, EBSCO, JSTOR, and DTIC—is published by Air University Press at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama.
