WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio, -- Motorcycle riders of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base will have an
opportunity to polish skills that laid dormant throughout the winter, meet local vendors and check off mandatory preseason/annual training at this year’s Motorcycle Safety Day.
The event will be held on May 12, 2017 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Base Theater (briefings) and Commissary/Exchange parking lot.
The event satisfies the preseason/annual briefing requirement for military riders, and is strongly encouraged for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base civilians with motorcycles. Vendors from Motorsports of Dayton, Buckminns D&D, and Ride1 will be on hand to answer questions about personal protective equipment and show off the latest gear.
The day will start with a welcome from keynote speakers and training, followed by bike preparation for the 38-mile group ride which is open to any rider with proper PPE and conclude with a preseason/annual briefing. Last year’s group ride drew more than 70 riders. After the group ride, vendors will be on-hand and the motorcycle preseason/annual briefing will be conducted inside the theater.
