WHAT: DBIDS has a scheduled update
WHEN: Friday, February 16 through Tuesday, February 20
WHERE: Maxwell AFB, Alabama
MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Ala. – There will be a DBIDS software update on Feb. 16, beginning at 9 p.m., and will last no later than Feb. 20. This upgrade will affect both Maxwell and Gunter Annex communities. The effects are as follows: Maxwell Blvd/Congressman Dickinson gate and Visitor Center will not be able to issue passes longer than 72-hours. If a longer pass is needed, they will have to return on or after Feb. 20. All ID cards issued on Monday, Feb. 19 will not populate in DBIDS until the following duty day after the software update. All locally populated ID cards, DBIDS card and visitor passes issued before 9 p.m., on Feb. 16, will be populated into the system before the update will occur. Please plan accordingly and add a couple extra minutes to your morning commute on Monday Feb. 19., in case there is heavier traffic as the software update will cause scan returns to take a little longer to populate after scanning IDs. All ID cards issued any time before the update will not be affected, as they are automatically populated into the local system.
