MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Ala. -- Maxwell Air Force Base is preparing to receive prepositioned supplies for FEMA response to Hurricane Florence.
March Road on the north side of the installation will be closed between the Federal Prison Camp and the Blue Thunder tent city to facilitate the arrival and movement of tractor trailers with prepared meals and water.
The Alabama Department of Transportation has placed signs around the installation directing the trucks to the appropriate gate. Traffic patterns and hours at Maxwell, Kelly and Day street gates will not change.
