The Air University Innovation Accelerator, in collaboration with the Air Force Institute of Technology and the Global College of Professional Military Education, is hosting LEDx: Praxeum, at The Eagle Institute in Montgomery, Alabama, April 23-24, 2025.

LEDx: Praxium is a groundbreaking event focused on the transformative impact of artificial intelligence in education, promising to be a pivotal gathering for educators, leaders, and innovators.

"From the AFIT perspective, this LEDx event represents an opportunity to showcase how different groups from across Air University can come together and engage with the broader academic community on such a disruptive topic, like Generative AI,” said Maj. Mark Bateman, AFIT Systems Engineering assistant professor and Systems Engineering Distance Learning Program director. “AFIT is excited to bring our heritage of over 40 years of technical expertise in the area of AI to complement all of the great work being done by our partners in Air University to provide the highest quality education for the USAF and its DoD partners."

The unique “Praxeum” theme, inspired by the Jedi training academies of Star Wars, embodies a futuristic, exploratory approach. It fosters both philosophical reflection and actionable innovation. Attendees will engage with interdisciplinary perspectives, discussing the ethical implications, operational requirements, and transformative potential of Generative AI in diverse educational settings.

LEDx: Praxeum will bring together thought leaders from the Department of Defense, academia, and industry to explore the cutting-edge of Generative AI technologies and their application in education. The event is designed to inspire leaders and educators to confidently harness AI in education, equipping them with the tools and knowledge to drive meaningful change in their organizations.

"The event will bring together thought leaders to explore AI's role in revolutionizing curriculum design, assessment tools, and practical applications. Attendees can expect visionary keynotes, dynamic panel discussions, and immersive breakout sessions aimed at providing practical knowledge in areas like computational thinking, data analysis, and AI prompting techniques,” DeVanté D. Snell, AUiX consultant and chief of events and public outreach said. “These sessions will empower educators and leaders to effectively integrate artificial intelligence in education in real-world settings."
