UFO, the Ultimate Family Outing, offers identification card holders and their families camping, water activities, live music, three meals and two outdoor movies at the Lake Martin Recreational Area May 17-18 for $10 per person.

Outdoor recreation staff will help participants set up tents May 17, and then families enjoy freshly grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner. Afternoon activities include a bouncy castle for kids and boat rides. At dusk, family and friends gather to watch "Wreck It Ralph" and "Life of Pi" on the big screen and then make s'mores by the campfire.

Campers wake up to breakfast Saturday morning provided by outdoor recreation staff, and the fun continues with the annual Armed Forces Day celebration from noon-4 p.m. Campers and all members of the Maxwell-Gunter community are invited for lunch, live music, boat rides, kayak races, prizes, activities and games.

Active-duty military and their families can travel by bus to Lake Martin for free as part of Outdoor Recreation's RecOn program. Bus leaves equipment checkout at 4 p.m. May 17 and returns at 4 p.m. May 18. Call 953-9593 to register by May 10.

Participants may bring their own camping gear or contact equipment checkout for rentals. For information, call 953-9593.
