In an effort to give kids, spouses and teachers a better understanding of the deployment process, the 42nd Air Base Wing is presenting its first annual KUDOs, SUDOs, TUDOs event - Kids, Spouses and Teachers Understanding Deployment Operations - at 8 a.m. Feb. 9 in building 1154, next to the Exchange.

Participants will get the opportunity to experience a deployment line in the same fashion as a deploying service member would. Some of the activities during the event include deployment briefs, medical physicals and mobility bag check. Participants also will have the option to try on equipment and take pictures.

"We want to give the kids, spouses and teachers an opportunity to better understand what deployed service members go through," said La Tonya Lewis, community support coordinator at the 42nd Air Base Wing. "We hope that this event will bring the Airmen, their families and teachers closer."

To sign up for the event call Lewis at 953-9822 or email her at Latonya.lewis.1@us.af.mil. The last day to sign up is Jan. 31.
