New sick call procedures start

  • Published
As part of the 42nd Medical Group's Patient-Centered Medical Home Initiative, the process for accessing sick call acute care has changed.

Permanent party active-duty personnel enrolled in the family health clinic (formerly family practice yellow and blue teams) should not walk-in for sick call. For appointments, available in the morning and afternoon, call the appointment line at 953-3368 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. during normal duty days or schedule online at https://www.tricareonline.com.

The Maxwell-Gunter temporary duty student population will be served in the 42nd Medical Group's trainee health clinic, which offers walk-in sick call 7 - 9 a.m. during normal duty days. Sick call for the designated population is only to be used for acute issues that prohibit or hinder the member's ability to participate in daily class requirements. The trainee health clinic walk-in sick call is not for use by permanent party students, including Air War College, Air Command and Staff College and School for Advanced Air and Space Studies students enrolled to a family health team. Appointments are also available in the trainee health clinic from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. by calling 953-3368 or online at https://www.tricareonline.com. These changes do not affect flight medicine.
