Gunter Annex service members and their families will have access to a personal financial readiness consultant in their own backyard.

Robertta Cole, personal financial consultant with the Airman and Family Readiness Center will offer lunch-and-learn classes and one-on-one appointments the third Friday of the month in building 421, room 104, next to the education building.

"Counseling appointments can be for anything from creating a budget, discussing basic investing questions, working through debt problems or creating a spending plan - whatever is needed," Ms. Cole said.

The first class will cover eating on a budget from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 15. The May class will offer ways to prevent identity theft, and the June class will discuss investing 101. Participants should bring their own lunches.

Ms. Cole is pleased to bring this service to Gunter Annex.

"Due to the inconvenience of the drive between the two bases, we wanted to make appointments and classes available at the annex with the aim of better educating our families and service members about personal finance and consumer education issues," she said. "Our aim is to improve our outreach and services to the Gunter community."

Those seeking appointments are asked to contact the AFRC at 953-2353 and specify an appointment at Gunter.
