Do you have basic questions on legal assistance topics such as consumer affairs, deployment readiness or landlord-tenant laws? The new Air Force Legal Assistance website, www.aflegalassistance.com, contains general legal information on a variety of legal assistance topics that commonly affect military members. It also contains links to other helpful sites. The website is designed for active-duty and reserve members, retirees and dependents.

Another feature allows clients to fill out an online legal worksheet for wills, advance medical directives and powers of attorney prior to your visit to the legal office. This feature allows clients to gather critical information at home prior to an appointment and should ensure expedited service.

The website also features an online survey that allows clients to post anonymous feedback concerning the professionalism and helpfulness of our legal professionals. Air Force legal offices constantly look to improve the quality of services and strive to provide the best possible service for our clients.

While the website increases convenience for clients, everyone should note that the information provided through this website is for educational and general information purposes only. It should not be used as a substitute for legal advice from a licensed attorney regarding individual situations.

Browse the website the next time a legal issue arises. After visiting the website, stop by our office between 9 and 10 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays for walk-in legal assistance.

For wills, complete the online worksheet and call 953-2786 to make an appointment on Tuesdays from 1 to 3:15 p.m. The office also drafts wills Fridays from 9 to 9:30 a.m. on a walk-in basis.

No appointment is necessary for powers of attorney and notary service.
