This fall season brings flavor and fun together with a variety of fall food festivals across Alabama. From fruit to fresh seafood and international cuisine, there is a festival for all tastes to enjoy. Information, Tickets and Travel, or ITT, offers bus trips to three different festivals this fall.

The Watermelon Festival is Aug. 15. in Russellville, Ala. An ITT bus will tour the festival, leaving Maxwell at 8 a.m. and returning around 6 p.m. Food, games for the kids and a watermelon contest as well as antique car show, tractor show, motorcycle and street road show, and live outdoor free concerts are some of the activities scheduled. The cost is $20 per person.

The National Shrimp Festival is Oct. 10 in Gulf Shores, Ala. It houses more than 300 vendors offering fine art, a retail marketplace, arts and crafts, and shrimp. ITT's day trip begins with the bus leaving Maxwell at 7 a.m. and returns late in the evening. The cost for this trip is $30 per person.

The 26th Annual International Festival will be held in Mobile, Ala., and ITT will be taking a day trip to the festival on Nov. 21. There will be a variety of areas to visit, each creating a unique experience in food and culture. The food booths represent five continents, where visitors can sample entrees, desserts, and exotic beverages, including international coffees. Music and dancing along with international entertainment is provided from two stages. The bus leaves Maxwell at 7 a.m. and returns late in the evening. The trip to this festival costs $25 per person.

Each of the bus trips must have at least 20 people and interested parties are encouraged to sign up early. Call 953-6351 for more information.
