Missoula Children's Theater 'Princess and the Pea' coming in June Published May 22, 2009 By Rachel Mathis Marketing and Publicity Maxwell Support Division MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Ala. -- "The Princess and the Pea" play that has delighted audiences from children to adults is coming to Maxwell in June. The Missoula Children's Theater will audition, rehearse and stage this popular play with Maxwell and Gunter Community children. The play requires 60 cast members. Auditions begin June 8 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Maxwell Elementary School. Youth that are planning on auditioning must be present for the entire two hours. Everyone who auditions is not guaranteed a part in the show. Missoula will be looking optimally for 20 youth that will be entering the first grade through age 7; 21 youth ages 8 - 12; and 19 youth ages 13 - 18 years old. Missoula will make adjustments to these age brackets based on the youth who show up to audition. In addition to the 60 cast members, four youth will be selected as Assistant Directors, usually ages 12 - 18. The rehearsal schedule will be provided on June 8 following the auditions. The play will be presented June 13, 3 p.m. in the Maxwell Elementary School Auditorium. The public is welcome and light refreshments and photo opportunities will follow the performance.
