Published March 3, 2015 MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Ala. -- Comment: When the Senior NCO Academy is on extended breaks, retirees can dine at the Aviation Inn on Gunter. Typically, the SNCOA is on break once during the summer and a few weeks in December. The specific dates are posted in the Aviation Inn and published in the base bulletin. The Aviation Inn on Gunter and the River Front Inn on Maxwell are open to retirees on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, the Air Force birthday and annual Retiree Appreciation Day.
