Goodfellow students show their talent

GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas --  The 17th Training Wing Chaplain Office hosted Goodfellow’s Got Talent show at Crossroads Student Center Aug. 13.

The event allowed students from all training squadrons to showcase their skills in front of their peers.

“I believe this event really brings us out of the routine we’re constantly in, and it gives us a chance to unwind and kind of show off our talents,” said Airman Wyatt Hall, 316th Training Squadron student.

Military Training Leaders from each squadron judged the competition along with Col. Michael Downs, 17th TRW Commander.

“I came out to support this event because I wanted to show the Airmen that we also take our off-duty time to come out and see them perform,” said Staff Sgt. Spencer Brown, 315th Training Squadron MTL.

Goodfellow’s Got Talent showcased singing, guitar and piano playing, and more.

“I started singing when I was a little kid and I fell in love with it,” said Hall.

According to Brown, events like the talent show are important because it brings the Airmen and multiple cultures together.

Goodfellow hosts events such as this to boost base morale and give members a wider assortment of activities to participate in.
