Holiday Harmony: Kaiserslautern Military Community Celebrates 30 Years of German-American Friendship Published Dec. 16, 2024 By Capt. Kayshel Mulligan U.S. Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa Kaiserslautern, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany -- Maj. Gen. Paul Moga, commander of the Third Air Force and the Kaiserslautern Military Community, and Chief Master Sgt. Stephanie Cates, Third Air Force Command Chief, hosted the 30th annual Kaiserslautern Military Community Christmas Concert on Dec. 13, 2024. The event, held at Fruchthalle in downtown Kaiserslautern, Germany, aimed to honor and strengthen German-American relations within the community. The U.S. Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa band performed for about 600 guests. Attendees included Beate Kimmel, lord mayor of Kaiserslautern; Otto Rubly, county commissioner of Kusel; Ralf Hechler, mayor of Ramstein-Miesenbach; Ralf Schwarm, mayor of Weilerbach; Wolfgang Denzer, mayor of Rodalben; and Rudolf Jacob, mayor of Winnweiler. Also attending were Hans Kästner, police president of the West Palatinate police presidium, and Nicole Meier, deputy mayor of Landstuhl. The concert celebrated the enduring partnership between the U.S. military and the local German community. Prior to the concert U.S. and German dignitaries had the opportunity to meet at a reception, reinforcing the strong bonds between local military and government leaders.
