The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center released its annual year-in-review highlight video Jan. 6.

In calendar year 2024, the team worked to advance combat support Airmen readiness and bolster the capabilities of power-projection platforms to meet Department of the Air Force Reoptimization for Great Power Competition priorities.

From conducting two Installation and Mission Support Weapons and Tactics Conferences, to strengthening partnerships with functional communities, sister services and international allies, to developing training initiatives for the I&MS enterprise, AFIMSC played a critical role in building DAF combat readiness.

“We have dedicated this particular I-WEPTAC to attributes of the hard GPC problems we’re working on right now,” said Maj. Gen. John Allen, AFIMSC commander, about the focus of the first I-WEPTAC in May that also applied to the second I-WEPTAC in November. “Since I-WEPTAC is an Air Force innovation forum that takes on challenges facing installation and mission support agile combat support operations, it’s the right platform for us to address GPC priorities. We’re leveraging the innovative thought, expertise and ‘group think’ of Airmen who conduct I&MS operations daily in order to harness that into actionable tactics, techniques and procedures we can field quickly.”
