A C-40 from the 932nd Airlift Wing recently provided distinguished airlift support, during mission essential manning, for Gen. Randall Reed, U.S. Transportation Command commander and his team on January 7th, 2025. Despite the 10.9 inches of snow and ice that had fallen, the dedicated team from the 73rd Airlift squadron and 54th Airlift Squadron persevered and successfully accomplished the flight mission. SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, ILL. --

As 10.9 inches of snow and ice fell on Scott Air Force Base, causing the base commander to call for only mission essential personnel to work on January 7, 2025, the dedicated team from the 73^rd Airlift squadron and 54^th Airlift Squadron and 932^nd Maintenance Squadron banded together despite the obstacle caused by the snowfall and ice, the 932^nd team braved the cold temperatures, shoveled the snow from their doorways and completed the transportation mission successfully.
