United States Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa commander, Gen. James Hecker, hosted senior representatives from 28 Allied and five partner nations for the NATO Air Chiefs’ Symposium 25-1 at Allied Air Command on Ramstein Air Base, Germany, April 2 and 3.

The symposium focused on air and space power capability development through exercise, experimentation and operational deployment.

“NACS is a great opportunity to strengthen relationships and improve communications among each other,” said Hecker.

The general addressed efforts relating to Agile Combat Employment, Integrated Air and Missile Defense and capability development.

The NACS is a semi-annual event hosted by NATO AIRCOM for senior leaders to exchange views and experience in the joint and air domains. It also provides an opportunity to compare and discuss cooperation, coordination and development of NATO air and space power.

NACS 25-1 is set to be the last symposium Hecker will host during his tenure, and as such, he thanked the allied air chiefs for their continued commitment and cooperation.
