Future Iraqi pilots learn to speak English

CAMP TAJI, Iraq -- Air Force Capt. Brian Ravak, 821st Expeditionary Training Squadron chief of English language training, provides advisory assistance to an Iraqi air force major responsible for the Iraqi students here Oct. 3, 2009. Learning English is one of the Iraqi air force's core values, and students must successfully complete the course before moving on to pilot training. U.S. Air Force instructors assigned to the 821st ETS facilitate the courses and serve as advisors to their Iraqi counterparts. Captain Ravak is deployed from Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., and hails from Cambridge, Ohio. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Johnny L. Saldivar)
