SOS Class 2009-F donates to charities

Members of Squadron Officer School Class 2009-F made a significant contribution to local charities during their five-week stay at Maxwell. The class donated $1,093 to both the Wounded Warrior and Fisher House foundations. They conducted a blood drive with the American Red Cross and gave 90 pints of blood while registering 118 class members as bone marrow donors. They volunteered to work in the Salvation Army and continued a 49-year SOS tradition of donating to Faith Crusades Mission food collection program. This class donated 500 pounds of food. Shown from left are Capt. Mike McKinney, SOS Commandant Col. Michael Pipan, Capt. Elizabeth Murphy, Capt. Chris Gruner, Capt. Dave Burrell and Stephen Seiler. (U.S. Air Force photo/Roger Curry)
