rescue helicopter

Two pararescuemen carry a 130-pound mannequin aboard a litter as they face a high-velocity airflow generated by multiple jet engines at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. This was one of a series of Air Force Research Laboratory tests conducted that simulated rescue conditions and determined that pararescuemen can safely do their job in winds of up to 65 knots, or 74 miles per hour.
