Murphy leaves legacy, begins new chapter

MAXWELL AIR FORCE BASE, Ala. – Dr. Bruce T. Murphy’s, Air University vice president of academic affairs, father’s military memorabilia sits displayed in Murphy’s office Nov. 8, 2013. Murphy, a U.S. Army Veteran, keeps this display along with his own military memorabilia in his office. The instructor pin is one of his most treasured pieces as it reminds him of the importance of military education. Murphy is retiring from his position at AU Dec. 31, 2013.
