DISA Montgomery opens news command building
Scott A. Baker, director Defense Information Systems Agency-Montgomery, and Col. Andrea Tullos, 42nd Air Base Wing commander, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., officially open the new DISA Command Building on Maxwell-Gunter Annex, Jan. 8, 2015. The building is part of the overall DISA-Montgomery strategic plan to move personnel out of the current data center building to provide expansion space for the new Global Service Desk consolidation. With his continuing cost-savings focus, Baker is also consolidating another building that encompasses several headquarters functions into this same building, reducing the overall footprint from three buildings to two within the same fiscal year.
