POW/MIA Ceremony
Former POW and WWII veteran Sy Lichtenfeld spoke of his experience as a POW at the fifth annual Alabama POW/MIA remembrance day on the south lawn of the state capitol in Montgomery Alabama Saturday, September 17. Lichtenfeld was captured during the Battle of the Bulge, and was held in captivity for nearly five months before being liberated by Russian soldiers. (U.S. Air Force photo/Eric Sharman)
