Celebrating generations of military service
First Lt. Nicholas Lundin, the 480th Intelligence, Reconnaissance and Surveillance Wing chief of current operations, stands between his dad, Michael Lundin and grandfather, Ray Lundin after his promotion ceremony, May 24, 2017, at the National World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. Lundin’s grandfather served in the Pacific for the U.S. Navy during World War II and was selected to travel to the nation’s Capitol through an Honor Flight program in Northeast Indiana. The program affords WWII veterans the opportunity to fly for free to visit and reflect at their respective memorial. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Darnell T. Cannady)
