Revitalizing the Squadron: Support Squadron enables airpower at KAF
The fire department is a key component of the 451st Expeditionary Support Squadron at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. The 451st ESPTS is a “mini-mission support group,” containing many of the same elements, just on a smaller scale. The civil engineer element contains engineers who work on the mobile aircraft arresting system, a fire department, pest management and many more functions found in a typical civil engineer squadron.
