US, Nepal team up for disaster response training
U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Madison Coveno, 36th Contingency Response Group, practices forklift operations while receiving directions from Nepalese Army Tech. Sgt. Bahadur Khadka Khadga during a subject-matter expert exchange Aug. 22, 2017, at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal. The exchange included members of the U.S. Air Force, Nepalese Army, Nepal Police, Nepal Armed Police Force and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, and focused on sharing ideas and techniques about cargo warehouse management, supply distribution, vehicle maintenance, forklift operations, first responder medical care and patient transport in the event of a disaster.
