Hurricane Irma Response
Doctors, nurses and paramedics await take-off from Washington Dulles International Airport, Washington, D.C., aboard a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft from Joint Base Charleston, S.C., Sept. 9, 2017. Air Force aircraft from three bases came together to move more than 300 medical personnel to Orlando, Fla., in anticipation of Hurricane Irma making landfall in the state. Air Mobility Command and 18th Air Force are providing airlift, aeromedical evacuation, contingency response and aerial refueling forces as part of the whole-of-community effort to respond to Hurricane Irma.
