Maxwell Airmen heads to Texas after Harvey with app, desire
Staff Sgt. Mark Doyle, an airfield systems technician with the 42nd Operations Support Squadron, spent the evening of Aug. 29 and early morning hours of Aug. 30 assisting rescuers in Orange, Texas, following Hurricane Harvey from his home and office before deciding to head to Texas. From his home in Montgomery, Alabama, Doyle used a walkie-talkie app and Internet maps to help connect rescuers with residents who needed evacuation.
