Pilot Training Next
A student from the Pilot Training Next program conducts training on the lateral drift trainer at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, March 2, 2017. The lateral drift trainer shows future pilots how to perform a proper parachute landing fall. Improper parachute landings are the main cause of injuries following an ejection. The Pilot Training Next program is putting 15 officers and five enlisted members through a new pilot training program geared toward creating what is being termed fighter trained unit-ready Airmen.
