Secretary of the Air Force Heather Wilson, left, presents Master Sgt. Roldan Milian, Officer Training School military training instructor superintendent, right, with the 2019 Secretary of the Air Force Leadership Award May 14, 2019, at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. Milian led a ten-person MTI corps, supporting the training and commissioning of 3,400 new officers, totaling 54 percent of the Air Force’s officer accessions. He also earned the flight room evaluator certification typically reserved for the officer corps, supporting 240 officer and enlisted evaluations for staff. Additionally, he worked with the Air University commander to fill a critical resource gap, accelerating the arrival of all future MTIs to duty at OTS by 90 days.
