OTS "Godzilla Class" Pennant Presentation
An Officer Training School trainee affixes his flight’s newly earned pennant onto their guide-on, Aug. 9, 2019, on Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. The OTS Pennant evaluation examines the ability of the officer trainees to perform both stationary and transitionary drill movements. The evaluation is administered 10 days after their arrival to OTS and is comprised of 15 drill movements and procedures that are taught by the Military Training Instructors. The Pennant Presentation ceremony celebrates the flights who have successfully completed the evaluation and are awarded their pennants to be displayed on their guide-ons. Historically, guide-ons served as a rally point for troops during battle and today they represent unity and loyalty among the Airmen. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Charles Welty)
