One Force, Many Origins: A1C Blanquisco reflects on cultural differences
Xander Broe Blanquisco, at the age of six, sits on a water buffalo used at his family’s farm, 2006, in Bicol, Philippines. Blanquisco learned to speak English from Australian shows, like Bananas in Pyjamas and Rocko’s Modern Life. After learning the language and getting comfortable with the American lifestyle, entering the United States was a lot easier for him. (Courtesy photo by Airman 1st Class Xander Broe Blanquisco
