USSR missile test range. Hexagon satellite image of the Tyuratam missile title range in the USSR, now the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Hexagon was a series of US photoreconnaissance satellites launched between 1971 and 1986 that collected intelligence on the USSR and their allies. Capsules containing film were ejected from the satellite and sent back to earth for collection. Image obtained in August 1984.
