Documentarian and senior executive producer Kirk Saduski and screenwriter John Orloff for the upcoming television series Masters of the Air spoke with Air Command and Staff College students and faculty about the critical roles both then-Maxwell Field and Air University’s predecessor, the Air Corps Tactical School, played in the development of high-altitude daylight precision bombing doctrine during WWII, Oct. 17, 2023, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. The show, based on the book by the same name by Dr. Donald Miller, tells the story of servicemembers assigned to Eighth Air Force and who took part in the air war over Europe.
