Instructions for Checking CCAF Graduation Requests in AFVEC

Click Login (use your CAC):Â Â
Click the menu bar on the left side of the page:Â
Click ‘CCAF Action Requests’:
All CCAF Action Requests will be listed on this screen. Locate your ‘Degree Candidate’ request:
‘Completed’ indicates CCAF has completed your request
‘Submitted’ displays when your request is still pending at CCAF
If you cannot locate a degree candidate request or your degree candidate request is ‘Rejected’, please contact your local Education Center or Force Development Office.

AFVECÂ (CAC Required)
Air University Associate-to-Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC)
WHAT IS AU-ABC?
Associate to Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC) directs DAF members with associate in applied science degrees from the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) to a collection of accredited colleges and universities to consider when completing a four-year degree. The program maximizes the application of military career education and training and provides a multitude of online academic and support services for the enlisted member. KEY FEATURES
- Maximizes application of military career education and training.
- Builds on the CCAF Associate in Applied Science degree.
- In most cases CCAF graduates will need no more than 60 semester hours to complete the bachelor degree requirements.
- Every student receives a binding degree completion contract that locks in transfer credit and states remaining degree requirements.
- AU-ABC partner schools are military friendly.
- AU-ABC partner schools are institutionally accredited.
AU-ABC PROGRAM CATEGORIES
CAT I: Â FOR CCAF GRADUATES
Guarantees CCAF AAS graduates need no more than 60 semester hours to complete an AU-ABC degree program. Â
CAT II: Â FOR CCAF AAS STUDENTS
Students complete up to nine  semester hours with partner school to complete CCAF AAS degree through dual tracking -- simultaneously fulfilling the CCAF AAS degree requirements and some of the AUABC degree program  requirements. Â
Upon completion of CCAF AAS degree, students need no more than 60 semester hours to complete an AU-ABC degree program.
CAT III: Â FOR CCAF AAS GRADUATES
Must complete more than 60 semester hours of credit beyond the CCAF AAS and meet all other AU-ABC degree program requirements.Â
AU-ABC PARTNER SCHOOLS
Each AU-ABC partner school has gone through an extensive AU-ABC application and vetting process. The partner school determines which CCAF AAS degree or degrees to link to its bachelor degree programs. Â Students work directly with the AU-ABC partner school to enroll and manage the degree program process. Â Upon completion of all bachelor degree requirements, the AU-ABC partner school will award the bachelor degree. General Education Mobile (GEM)
WHAT IS GEM?
General Education Mobile, or GEM, is a partnership between CCAF and partnering regionally accredited civilian schools to provide general education courses that meet CCAF requirements in an online format: anytime, anywhere availability. Why GEM?
The average gradation time for CCAF students is eight years because general education courses are usually the last taken. The goal is to reduce the average CCAF graduation time to less than four years. GEM does the following:
- Eases student course selection and registration via single-point access on the Air Force Virtual Education Center (AFVEC).
- Facilitates student planning across entire general education curriculum—motivates student to complete courses on a self-paced timeline.
- Features partnerships with civilian academic institutions to offer education focused on freshman/sophomore level instruction.
Associate in Applied Science Degree
The CCAF associate in applied science degree is offered in the following broad career areas:
- Operations
- Logistics
- Medical
- Support
Degree Completion Requirements
Degree programs consist of a minimum of 60Â semester hours with requirements as follows:Â
- Technical Education (24 Semester Hours)
- Leadership, Management & Military Studies (6 Semester Hours)
- General Education (15 Semester Hours)
- Written Communication (3 Semester Hours)
- Oral Communication (3 Semester Hours)
- Mathematics (3 Semester Hours)
- Social Science (3 Semester Hours)
- Humanities (3 Semester Hours)

- GEM is delivered via AFVEC.
- GEM students can conveniently search for schools that meet their needs and preferences.
- Students contact the GEM school directly to enroll in general education courses.Â

Air Force Credentialing Opportunities On-Line
What is AF COOL?
Air Force Credentialing Opportunities On-Line, or AFCOOL, is a pathway for enlisted DAF members to earn industry recognized professional certifications and/or licenses to enhance their active-duty work, and to prepare them as they transition to the civilian job market.Â
You receive:
- $4,500 Lifetime Cap allowance to obtain certifications.
- Up to $500 per goal for study materials.
- Many AFSC-related certifications (up to the cap).Â
- One non-AFSC related credential.
- One completed degree related credential.
- Reimbursement for 60 days from separation or retirement.
- No recoupment if grades or refund provided (not including non-AFSC credential).
ANG and AFRS must be on Title 10 or Title 32 (502)F orders for the entire duration of the certification process.  Â
